The story
The grain becomes the drawing.
In this collection of sideboards, the oak grain is not treated as a decorative finish. It is the point from which the entire object begins. The natural pattern of the wood orders the fronts, reinforces the proportions and gives every piece an individual identity.
Clear volumes, tapered legs and integrated details reinterpret the calm confidence of mid-century furniture through a contemporary language. Recessed pulls, precise edges and the alternation of doors and drawers allow the material to remain visually continuous.
The project developed through successive concepts and renderings: studies of proportion, storage, ergonomics and grain continuity. Natural and smoked-brown oak finishes explore how light, texture and tone can change the character of the same essential form.
The realised piece preserves the initial intention: balanced construction, authentic tactility and a quiet presence — furniture designed for long use and to age with dignity.
