Materials & Specification

Will the selected finish work in daily use?

Materials are selected for appearance and for how they are used, maintained and installed. The palette connects timber, stone, metal, glass and other finishes with the conditions of the project.

How this works

Palette & samples

Samples are compared in the intended relationships and, where possible, under relevant lighting.

Use & maintenance

Supplier information is reviewed for cleaning, wear and suitability. Particular requirements are checked with the relevant specialist.

Junctions & installation

Thicknesses, edges, transitions and substrates are coordinated with execution information.

Selection record

Products, finishes and agreed alternatives are identified clearly so that purchasing can follow the design.

What you receive

Depending on scope: material palette, finish schedule, sample decisions and specification notes.

What we need to begin

Approved design direction, room use, existing substrates and maintenance preferences.

Your decision

Approve representative samples and any proposed alternatives before ordering.
